Triple Threat

The DoorDash 'Triple Threat' campaign leverages its brand proposition by positioning itself as a practical and convenient solution for busy parents navigating hectic back-to-school routines. By offering premade, bento-inspired lunches developed in collaboration with celebrity parent Jessica Biel, DoorDash emphasizes ease, time-saving, and quality—all tailored to family needs. The campaign communicates a clear value: simplifying meal preparation with affordable, ready-to-go options that support parents in setting their children up for success during a demanding time. Strategically, the campaign targets parents, particularly those seeking quick, reliable meal solutions amid the school season’s challenges. The creative angle centers on real-life utility, using a relatable figure (Jessica Biel) who embodies the target audience’s lifestyle, lending authenticity to the offering. The use of digital, film, and outdoor channels ensures broad reach across multiple touchpoints, while emphasizing performance metrics through pricing incentives like discounts for DashPass members. The campaign’s messaging is concise and solution-focused, addressing a specific moment of need with relevance and convenience, thereby strengthening DoorDash’s positioning within the competitive food delivery space.

FORMAT#8 ONGOING CHARACTERS OR CELEBRITIES — Uses a recurring personality or celebrity for brand recall. This DoorDash 'Triple Threat' campaign leans on celebrity presence for its creative engine, as strongly indicated by the explicit inclusion of Jessica Biel, described as a “fellow parent” and partner. Rather than focusing on story arcs or symbolic elements, the campaign foregrounds the celebrity’s endorsement and relatability to appeal to parents during back-to-school season. The title and content positioning both hinge on celebrity association—leveraging Biel’s influence and persona to make the offering trustworthy and memorable, which is the hallmark of the Ongoing Characters or Celebrities format.
