Nana

Teleflora’s “Nana” campaign strategically positions the brand as a facilitator of emotional connection during the holidays, emphasizing the enduring value of togetherness even when physical presence is not possible. The brand proposition centers on Teleflora’s role as more than just a floral delivery service; it acts as a tangible symbol of love and closeness that bridges distances and maintains familial bonds. By focusing on the emotional experience of receiving flowers from a loved one, the campaign reinforces the idea that gifting Teleflora bouquets transcends the product itself, embodying heartfelt sentiment and the warmth of family connection. The campaign’s market strategy leverages the universal insight that the holidays are a time when being with loved ones is paramount, and that absence can be deeply felt. By narrating the story through the eyes of a child whose grandmother cannot physically be present, “Nana” taps into themes of nostalgia, longing, and eventual reunion—emotions widely relatable to the target retail audience during the holiday season. The creative angle of portraying the flowers as a stand-in for Nana’s presence enhances the emotional resonance, making the Teleflora bouquet a meaningful proxy for connection. Positioned within the Retail market and crafted as a narrative film, this approach seeks to engage viewers on a personal level, encouraging gift purchases that go beyond transactional value to become expressions of love and presence. The campaign’s timing, release during the lead-up to Christmas, aligns effectively with consumer motivations to connect and celebrate family, reinforcing Teleflora’s relevance in holiday gifting occasions.

FORMAT#5 EXEMPLARY STORY — Tells a story where the product plays a vital role in the plot or resolution. This campaign most closely aligns with the Exemplary Story format. Narrative cues show a little girl saddened by her Nana’s absence during the holidays, with the Teleflora bouquet serving as a symbolic emotional bridge between them. The flowers become central to the girl’s daily experiences, representing Nana’s presence until a joyful real-life reunion on Christmas Day. The product is pivotal, driving the storyline and emotional resolution rather than appearing as a simple prop or visual metaphor.
